@candacekuss has nominated us for a Shorty Award. Now we know it’s not the winning, it’s the taking part that counts. But we want one…we REALLY want one. We need you guys to nominate us and help put some shiny silverware on the Twilert mantelpiece.

It’s been less than a week since the launch of Twilert but the response to the service has been overwhelming. We’ve already had over 200 people register on the site creating nearly 600 Twilerts!
Twilert on Twitter has been a hive of activity and we’re grateful for every piece of positive and negative feedback we get from people using the service. Below is a list of things we’ve been told we need to change:
- Each tweet should include the date and time
- Hyperlinks on emails should link to the individual tweet so people can reply
- Blank emails with no tweets shouldn’t be sent out
- There seems to be a problem with the & symbol in quotation marks
- We need terms and conditions
We’re in the process of making all these changes - we really do appreciate your constant feedback and suggestions for making Twilert even better than it is already! If you have any further recommendations then please let us know - either contact us at admin@twilert.com, on Twitter at @Twilert or via this blog.
Thanks again and here’s to the next 200 Twilerters (can we say that yet?)…

What a day! As we near the end of Day 1 at Twilert Towers we wanted to reflect on how our introduction to world had gone.
Well first of all a big welcome to all our new users. We’ve been overwhelmed by the number of people that have registered on the site and created Twilerts. You guys rock!
Day 1 has been a great success - we’ve got loads of people using the service and there hasn’t been a Fail Turkey in sight (thanks @CandaceKuss). As with every new online application there are small tweaks that need making to the site and we will be continually making those tweaks and working to make the site bigger and better!
We love to hear your thoughts and feedback on the site so give us a shout out at @twilert.

The time has come and Twilert is up and running!
We’re a new (and free) Twitter service that lets you receive regular email alerts containing tweets that contain specific keywords or phrases. It’s useful for those that want to track conversation and opinion on a brand, company or product on Twitter but don’t have the time to sit in front of a Twitter Search page 24 hours a day.
You’ll get the idea once you’ve signed up and given it a go - http://www.twilert.com/signup
Don’t forget to tell your followers, followees (?), friends, family…well the world about Twilert.
Here’s the official press release:
.
TWILERT LAUNCHES TO PROVIDE TWEETS BY EMAIL
New Twitter application lets users track tweets by keyword and receive daily email alerts
LONDON, UK, 25th Nov 2008 – Twilert (http://www.twilert.com) launched today under BETA to allow people to track Twitter messages, or tweets, by keyword and receive daily email alerts. The service, which is free to use, means users can be kept up to date on comments, opinion and discussions for any keyword whether it’s a brand, product, company or person.
Founder of Twilert, Dan Leach, comments: “With the thousands of different conversations and comments made on Twitter everyday it can be very hard to keep track of what people are saying about your brand or product. Twilert provides an easy, free service that solves that problem.”
Twilert is available to use by Twitter and non-Twitter users. To try the service please visit www.twilert.com.
