One Week Update
Posted: December 7th, 2008 | Author: Dan | Filed under: Twilert |You’ve all been keeping us busy here at Twilert Towers! We’re little over a week old now so thought we would touch on the past seven(ish) days and give you a quick update on the service.
We now have nearly 800 users from a remarkable 70 countries receiving over 2,000 Twilerts, a phenomenal achievement which is down to you sharing the love - talking about us on Twitter, on your blogs, to your friends and colleagues etc. We have received too much coverage to list everything but some of the highlights include:
- @DrewB talks about tracking brand buzz on Twitter. His post and the Twilert shout made it into last week’s PR Week
- We had a chat with @BadgerGravling who posted the interview and a review of the site on 140Char
- @candacekuss gave us a great shout out on her Brand Republic blog. Everyone should follow Candace and her blog
- Twilert was named Mashup of the Day on the 5th December, our first (virtual) trophy
- Social media guru @guykawasaki wrote one of the best Twitter posts we’ve seen and not just because he calls out Twilert as a service to help you get more out of Twitter
More thankyous go out to @Paul_Stallard, @jlcoassin, @wadds and everyone else who has written about Twilert over the past seven days!
We have had a great response to Twilert but we are always looking to improve the service and you have all be great in providing feedback and letting us know what we should be tweaking and what new features you would like to see. We are currently making those changes so you’ll see a few changes coming through very soon.
Here are some fun facts about Twilert that you might not know:
- Our users come from 70 different countries spread across every continent in the world
- London is the city receiving the most Twilerts but we’re also sending Twilerts to places as far as Honolulu, Auckland and Saiwai
- There are over 2,000 results for Twilert on Google now
- There have been over 140 blog posts about Twilert (according to Google Blogs)
- We have over 400 friends on Twitter
Thanks again to everyone for their continued support. Here’s to another seven great days at Twilert Towers!
Thanks for the mention Dan. Nice that PR Week picked up on the blog huh! Really useful service though this Twilert. Keep up the good work.

I look forward to the feature….send twilert in real-time or every hour as opposed to once a day.
If a user is talking about my brand or a competitor’s brand it is relevant to them at that moment, as opposed to a day later…much less relevant.
Do you think you will be adding this feature soon?
thanks
Hi Joe,
Thanks for your comment. It’s something we’re looking into - we need to make sure our servers can handle the additional requests but when we are confident they will we’ll be there with hourly or real-time alerts.
Cheers
Dan
